This policy explains how Emerald Infrastructure Solutions processes personal information submitted through this website, including enquiries, optional lead capture, email delivery, cookies and embedded content.

2. Legal and privacy context
Emerald aims to process personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Electronic communications and online interactions are also handled with regard to South Africa’s Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
This page is an operational website privacy notice, not legal advice. Formal project, supplier or employment relationships may be governed by additional agreements.
3. Information collected through the website
- name, company, email address and phone number submitted through enquiry or lead-capture forms
- project type, industry, service requirement, notes and calculator or planning-tool values submitted by the visitor
- technical details included voluntarily in a message or generated into contact-page query parameters
- limited technical request information such as IP headers used temporarily for in-memory rate limiting
4. How website enquiries are processed
Website forms submit to Emerald’s internal enquiry endpoint. The endpoint validates the submission, checks a hidden honeypot field, applies basic timing and duplicate-submission checks, and uses request IP headers temporarily for in-memory rate limiting. The website does not currently store enquiry submissions in a production database.

5. Email delivery provider
Emerald uses Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 to deliver website enquiry notifications and visitor acknowledgement emails. Form content may be transmitted through Microsoft 365 for email delivery. Emerald keeps the main enquiry destination as sales@emerald-is.co.za.
6. Cookies, local storage and embedded content
The website uses first-party browser storage for consent preferences and limited optional functionality. Emerald does not currently run analytics scripts, advertising pixels or remarketing tags. The embedded Google Map on the Contact page is blocked until functional consent is granted.

7. When information may be shared
Emerald may share relevant enquiry information with internal team members, email-delivery providers and trusted service providers where necessary to respond to the enquiry or operate the website. Emerald does not sell website enquiry data.
8. Retention
Enquiry emails are retained for as long as reasonably required to respond to the enquiry, manage project discussions, keep business records and meet legal or operational requirements. Browser-stored preferences remain until expiry or until cleared in the visitor’s browser.
9. Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information held by Emerald, subject to applicable law and legitimate record-keeping requirements. You can also update optional cookie choices using the footer link or the button above.
