01How do I know what size generator I need?

Generator sizing depends on the connected load, motor starting currents, diversity, future expansion and whether the generator must support the full site or selected essential loads.

02What is an ATS?

An Automatic Transfer Switch transfers electrical load between utility supply and generator supply during power interruptions and restores supply when utility power returns.

03How often should a generator be serviced?

Most standby generators should be serviced at least annually or according to operating hours and manufacturer recommendations. Mission-critical sites may require more frequent inspections.

04Can generators be integrated with UPS systems?

Yes. Generator and UPS systems are commonly integrated so the UPS provides ride-through power while the generator starts and stabilises.
